A Ramla resident was arrested on suspicion of threatening the Israel Police's Thailand representative Chief Superintendent Yoni Hajaj.
An investigation into the matter started following a string of threats and slander was made against Hajaj on Israeli and Thai social media.
Police suspects the smear campaign started after Hajaj was involved in arresting a murder suspect in Thailand.
