Tzachi Lieber's remand extended until next Tuesday

None

Strategic advisor Tzachi Lieber’s lawyer said during a hearing on his extended remand Thursday that David Sharan, who once served as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet chief, asked Lieber to bring money from Miki Ganor, who acted on behalf of the German submarine company ThyssenKrupp in the scandal-ridden submarine deal between Israel and Germany and is now a state witness in the ongoing investigation.

Lieber is suspected of being a middleman in the deal, conspiracy to commit a crime and obstructing investigative procedure.

The Rishon LeZion Magistrates’ Court extended his arrest until Tuesday next week.
