Rabbis instruct the ultra-Orthodox parties to stop desecration of Shabbat

Shas and United Torah Judaism's major councils and Torah scholars convened over the train's infrastructure work on Shabbat and ahead of the High Court's hearing on soccer matches over the weekend.
The rabbis instructed MKs to exhaust all legal avenues to prevent the multiplicity of cases in which the desecration of Shabbat was sponsored by the state, including the promotion of legislation and government decisions which desecration the sacred day.
The MKs were also instructed to oppose the granting of work permits on Shabbat in cases that are not defined as life-saving measures, which are allowed on Shabbat.
