Hezbollah raises alert level along border with Israel
Hezbollah raised its alert level on the border with Israel due to the major IDF drill in the northern region.
The Lebanese newspaper Al-Joumhouria reported that UNIFIL forces are also increasing their presence along the border, and that UN commanders are in intensive talks with Israel and Lebanon in order to maintain ceasefire agreements signed after the Second Lebanon War.
A senior source told the newspaper that "the atmosphere of the international contacts is positive and reflects that no one has a desire to escalate the situation."
