Police have arrested two high-ranking food engineers for the Ministry of Health and two customs employees on the suspicion they received bribes from a sporting goods importer to approve food supplements for athletes without conducting the requisite tests.
The Ministry of Health's quarantine facility manager at the Ashdod port was also arrested a week ago as part of the investigation.
The five suspects will be remanded later Tuesday.
