Eight east J'lem men arrested for participating in terrorist cell
Joint action by the Shin Bet, Jerusalem District Police and the Border Police's Mista'arvim unit has uncovered and then foiled a Silwan terrorist cell whose members were Israeli citizens.
Eight operatives were arrested in connection with the group, who planned to carry out shooting attacks on Israeli vehicles and other targets in Silwan. They had also participated in stone and Molotov cocktail throwing incidents directed at security forces.
Their operations were said to have been financed by entities from the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
