J'lem cop indicted for attacking man during demonstration
A Jerusalem police officer was indicted for needlessly assaulting a man during a Shabbat Square protest in January 2017.
According to the indictment submitted by the State Attorney's department for internal affairs to the city's Magistrates' Court, the officer noticed the man yelling at another cop, hit him three times on the head and then knocked him down to the ground.
The indictment stated the cop had also written a false report recounting the events, in which she said the victim had attacked her.
