Tamar reservoir malfunction: rise in Ashdod pollution

The Ministry for Environmental Protection said Ashdod's "Nir Galim" monitoring station registered a rise in pollution in the past two days due to the stoppage of gas flow from the Tamar reservoir.
The ministry said the pollution was sourced to the "Eshkol" power station, which was forced to use fuel oil, significantly less environmentally-friendly compared to gas.
