Russian defense minister: Syria operation coming to an end soon
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu told his Israeli counterpart Avigdor Lieberman on Monday that Russia would soon finish its operation in Syria, according to Russian news agency Interfax.
"The operation in Syria is drawing to a close, but there are some issues that require urgent attention, and discussions that need to be had regarding the possible developments of the situation in Syria," Shoygu said during his meeting with Lieberman in Israel.
"Other than the military and military-technological cooperation between Russia and Israel, the main issue for us is the fight against terrorism and the situation in the region," he added.
