Report: Russia's Shoygu asked Israel to show restraint in Syria

A Lebanese newspaper has reported that a large part of a meeting that recently took place between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu was occupied by matters relating to Lebanon.

According to the report, Shoygu asked Israel to try and show restraint and also told the Israelis that the spread of Iranian and Hezbollah's influence has to come to an end one way or the other after the fighting in Syria reaches a conclusion.

For their part, the Israeli leaders expressed dissatisfaction on negotiations relating to Syria in light of Russian and Iranian interests, but agreed to give talks another chance.
