Former Mateh Binyamin Regional Council treasurer sentenced to community service

The Tel Aviv District Court convicted Efi Peles, former treasurer of the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council, with breach of trust as part of a plea bargain, sentencing him to six months of community service, one year suspended sentence a fine of NIS 10,000.
This is the first verdict in the case in which former deputy foreign minister Faina Kirschenbaum (Yisrael Beytenu) and other senior officials were charged with bribery.
