Minister Katz: 'Iran must be stopped today so it doesn't become tomorrow's N. Korea'
The Minister of Intelligence and Transportation Yisrael Katz met Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono during the latter's visit to the region.
In their meeting, Katz called for Japan to support measures amending the Iranian nuclear deal.
The two also discussed increasing Japan's involvement and support of the steps taken by President Donald Trump against Iranian ballistic missile programs and sanctions levied against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for their support of terrorism.
"Japan, similarly to Israel, is on the frontlines of the struggle against North Korea, as Israel is on the frontlines of the struggle against Iran. The lessons of North Korea are dictatorships must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons," Katz said.
