Some 100 Australian cavalrymen started a riding journey in the western Negev commemorating 100 years to the battle of Be'er Sheva in World War I.
The riders passed through the Bsor (Eshkol) National Park and held a ceremony at Tel Srohan.
Numbering among the riders were grandchildren and great-grandchildren of ANZAC soldiers who participated in the original battle. The journey will conclude Tuesday with a recreation of the storming of Be'er Sheva.
