Minister of Energy Yuval Steinitz said Sunday he is convinced that the government will find a way to renew talks on the Kotel affair with the Conservative and Reform movements.
“The desires and aspirations of the Jewish community in the diaspora cannot be ignored if Jerusalem is defined as the eternal capital of the Jewish people,” Steinitz said, during a speech at the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency.
Steinitz, who is slated to replace the incumbent head of the Jewish Agency Natan Sharansky in June 2018, added: “We need to invest more in strengthening ties not only between Israel and the diaspora, but also between Jewish communities.”
