IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot published his command of the day in anticipation of the 22nd anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
In the document, circulated to all IDF soldiers and commanders, Eisenkot wrote, "In order to fulfill your tasks without distraction, the discourse must be ethical and clear."
"Only if high grade operational norms and striving to victory stand as the basis of the army's activities, and if we operate according to the army's values and preserve it as a popular army – can we continue to carry out our tasks," Eisenkot added.
