Nature and Parks Authority: Negev and Aravah deer population in danger
None
Israel's Nature and Parks Authority announced the future of deer in the Negev and Aravah was at risk.
The Authority said deer in the Abronah nature reserve may come to harm due to construction of the Ramon Airport, completion of the Jordan border fence and expansion in the region's agricultural areas.
An annual count of the deer population turned up 1,151 specimens, as opposed to 1,158 last year.
