Kahlon: 'French Bill' behind us, we won't be hearing about it anytime soon

Finance Minister said the coalition won't be promoting the "French Bill" prohibiting investigation into affairs of sitting prime minister.

In a meeting of his Kulanu party, Kahlon said, "The prime minister announced yesterday he didn't want any law protecting him. We spoke about the bill being bundled with term limits at the time, but now I think the matter's behind us. I assume we won't be hearing about it again in the next few weeks."

"In any ethical issue not bound by coalition agreements Kulanu MKs have the freedom to vote their conscience. We won't be forcing anyone to vote against their conscience," he added while speaking about a bill prohibiting police from recommending indictments against suspects.
