Netanyahu on tunnel blast: 'we seek peace, but will not tolerate attack on our sovereignty'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu alluded to Monday's tunnel blast at an event marking the 100th anniversary of the conquering of the city of Be'er Sheva by the forces of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) from the hands of the Ottoman Empire, stating that the event mirrors the State of Israel.

"We seek peace with all our neighbors, but we will not tolerate an attack on our sovereignty and our land, whether from the air, the ground or underground," he stated.

Netanyahu then drew a link between the 100-year-old operation and the State of Israel, saying: "We saw here in Be'er Sheva eight hundred horsemen against four thousand Turks with rifles. That is the mark of Israel."
