Lieberman on besmirched Haredi officer: 'We'll assist anyone shamed due to IDF service'
Minister of Defense Avigdor Lieberman commented on the verdict ordering the payment of NIS 500,000 in restitution to an IDF officer whose name was besmirched as part of the Haredi campaign against IDF conscription, saying, "It's unthinkable that an IDF officer, operating on behalf of the state, will have to suffer such indignities."
"The security establishment will assist any soldier or officer who suffers from besmirching due to their army service," he added.
