Min. Erdan laudes possible shutdown of PA's DC office

Minister of Public Security, Strategic Affairs and Minister of Information Gilad Erdan expressed his approval of the US government's recent statement, that it was considering closing the Palestinian Authority's office in the US capitol of DC if the PA continues to try to get the International Criminal Court to prosecute Israelis for crimes against Palestinians.

"I appreciate the US's proven policies," said Erdan during a meeting of the Likud party. "They are acting to delegitimize us and to pay salaries to terrorists and other steps that do not promote peace.

Erdan added that "such representation would be of value if it helped to advance negotiations and peace, but if it was used to the contrary and to incite and counter Israel's legitimacy, then it would certainly have to doubt its representation in Washington."
