Police says sufficient evidence to indict fmr. NSC deputy chief for bribery

Israel Police announced it has concluded its investigation into National Security Council deputy head Avriel Bar Yosef and that sufficient evidence exists to indict him for bribery, fraud and breach of trust offenses as well as violations of the money laundering law.

Bar Yosef allegedly received bribes from a German businessman who invested hundreds of thousands of euros in a company owned by his relative. The bribes were also accompanied by additional benefits of equal value as well as future promises.

In return, Bar Yosef allegedly promoted the businessman's commercial interests in, among other places, the Zemach committee that discussed the natural gas agreement.
