Palestinian who recruited and operated terrorists in 2009 attack given 2 life sentences

A military tribunal sentenced Mohammad Zkharna, who recruited and operated the terrorists who carried out the terrorist attack in 2009 that claimed the life of Grigori Rabinowitz, to two consecutive life sentences and an additional 40-year sentence.

 

In addition, Zkharna was ordered to pay NIS 500,000 in restitution and an NIS 50,000 fine.

 

Zkharna was recently convicted of intentionally causing death, planning the attack, recruiting the group's members, operating them and guiding them on how to act after the attack. He was also convicted of murdering a Palestinian suspected of being a collaborator with Israel and 37 other security offenses.
