World Jewish Congress President Ron Lauder denounced recent statements against American Jews made by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Hotovely.
"The Jewish state must stand behind world Jewry," Lauder said.
"An official Israeli representative flinging insults at Jews living in the Diaspora is unacceptable," he added.
