Dozens of residents of south Tel Aviv and their supporters protested outside the home of Supreme Court Chief Justice Esther Hayut on Saturday night, demanding the High Court to not interfere in the government's "infiltrators bill" to deport African asylum seekers to a third country.
The protesters, including activists of the right-wing NGO Im Tirtzu, carried signs saying: "Esther Hayut, please bring back sanity," and "if there are no laws in the southern part of the city, there are no laws in Tzahala"—the latter one referring to the Tel Aviv neighborhood Hayut lives in.
