China to deport head of Israeli criminal organization

Chinese authorities have decided to deport to Israel the head of a criminal organization detained there and hand him over to Israeli authorities, despite the lack of an extradition treaty between the two countries.
He was arrested in China at the Israel Police's request for allegedly committing serious offenses in Israel.
"My client was in China legally and there were no legal grounds to deport him. Deportation was apparently carried out at the behest of Israel's police and if he lands here and is arrested, it will constitute kidnapping," the criminal boss's attorney said.
