Soldier arrested on suspicion of fabricating assault, being involved in own weapon disappearance

Police have arrested a soldier who told cops Monday he was assaulted at a bus stop in the Mishmar HaNegev Junction at that his weapon was stolen.
The police's inquiry turned up the soldier may have been involved in his weapon going missing, as he may have given it over to someone else.
Court remanded him for five days.
