Movement for Quality Government petitions HCJ against 'recommendations bill'
None
The Movement for Quality Government petitioned the High Court of Justice against the "recommendations bill" promoted by Knesset Member David Amsalem (Likud).
In its petition, the movement requests that the debate on the ill be transferred to the Constitution Committee and not to the Interior Committee headed by Amsalem.
The movement seeks to cancel the first reading of the bill, claiming that Amsalem made improper use of his power and promoted the bill due to political and personal considerations.
The bill will prevent the police from recommending an indictment following an investigation in cases where there is an accompanying attorney.
