State Attorney to police: Investigate allegations against Danny Danon

State Attorney Shai Nitzan has instructed the police to open an investigation into corruption allegations made against Israel's Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon.

Among other things, he is accused of paying millions of shekels to Likud activists and their families in return for supporting him.

The Ministry of Justice said the decision to open an investigation was made by the Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit.
