Following amendments, 'recommendations bill' won’t apply to Netanyahu investigations

None

The Knesset's Internal Affairs Committee decided Tuesday to make two amendments to the "recommendations bill" barring police from making recommendations on indictments.

Under the amendments, the law would not apply to investigations that have already begun, and the attorney general and state attorney would be able to ask for the police's opinion in writing. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that he had asked MK David Amsalem to word the contentious billl "so it does not apply to the investigation conducted into my affairs."
