Erdogan: Recognizing Jerusalem would 'play into hands of terror groups'

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned on Wednesday that the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by Washington "would play into the hands of terrorist groups."
"Such a step will only serve the game of terrorist groups," Erdogan said after a meeting in Ankara with King Abdullah II of Jordan.
The latter, for his part, stressed that the holy city was "crucial for the stability" of the region.
