Joint List head Odeh: 'I'd have been glad had Trump recognized only west Jerusalem'

The head of the Joint List party Ayman Odeh expressed opposition on Thursday to the decision of US President Donald Trump to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

"I believe that any one-sided steps on a controversial matter are unhelpful," he told Ynet. 

He added that "I would have been glad had Trump said that he recognizes west Jerusalem as Israel's capital and east Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine."
