Cabinet: terrorists' bodies will not be returned, HCJ further hearing sought
The Security Cabinet received the recommendation of Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to seek a further hearing in the High Court of Justice on the issue of holding terrorists' bodies as bargaining chips.
The cabinet ministers clarified their position that the bodies will not be returned and that the principles delineated in the court's majority opinion are unacceptable.
No legislation is expected to be sponsored at this juncture, until the High Court replies to the request for a further hearing.
