Police in advanced negotiations with potential state witness in Bitan corruption probe

The police are in advanced negotiations to sign a state witness agreement in the Rishon Letzion corruption scandal, in which coalition chairman MK David Bitan is also involved, with entrepreneur Dror Glazer, who is suspected of giving bribes to Bitan in the amount of NIS 250,000.
In exchange for the signing of a state witness deal, the police offered Glazer a short prison sentence of about a year.
As of now, the deal has not yet been signed, but the police see Glazer as a serious option.
Glazer is the second suspect in the affair to be leaned on by the police to become a state witness. Moshe Yosef, a businessman dubbed MK David Bitan's "banker," was also pressured last week to sign a state witness agreement, with his lawyers summoned to the Lahav 433 anti-corruption unit's offices to discuss the matter.
