Shin Bet director: Hamas relentlessly trying to carry out attacks in West Bank
Shin Bet Director Nadav Argman warned Sunday that Hamas "is relentlessly trying to carry out terror attacks" in the West Bank.
"The Palestinian arena over the past year has been very unstable. The calm is misleading, there's stirring on the ground, and Hamas is relentlessly trying to carry out attacks in Judea and Samaria and undermine the stability of the Palestinian Authority," Argaman told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
He noted that "the number of attacks over the past year has dropped, but the amount of attacks thwarted has increased. We thwarted 400 significant attacks, 13 of them suicide attacks, eight abductions and 94 'sacrifice' attacks."
