Jerusalem decides to name junction after Rabbi Ovadia Yosef
The Jerusalem Street Names Committee decided Sunday to call the Bar Ilan Junction in the capital after the late Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.
The junction, where Bar Ilan and Shmuel HaNavi streets meet, does not currently have an official name.
Rabbi Yosef was laid to rest in 2013 in the Sanhedria cemetery near the junction.
