President of the Maccabi Haifa football club to be given lifetime achievement award
President of the Maccabi Haifa football club Ya'akov Shahar will be awarded a lifetime achievement award at the 2017 excellence in sports award ceremony, to be held Tuesday.
Shahar was notified of his win by Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev, who explained Shahar will be given the award thanks to his "years' long work for Israeli sports over four decades."
