Former IDF deputy chief of staff Maj.-Gen. Yair Golan commented n the crisis within the ranks of Palestinian leadership. In a conference organized by the Jerusalem Institute for Strategic Studies, Golan said, "Disunity in the Palestinian world and the disconnect between the West Bank and Gaza are a significant security asset."
