Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Friday he has decided to appoint Yigal Unna to head the National Cyber Bureau, pending government approval.
Unna, 46, is the head of the Cyber Technologies Unit and has served in a series of roles in Israel's defense establishment.
"Yigal has vast experience in cyber-related fields and in the defense establishment. I am confident his rich experience will contribute a lot," Netanyahu said.
