Minister Akunis: Supermarkets bill rightly criticized by public

Science and Technology Minister Ofir Akunis (Likud) criticized the so-called supermarkets bill on Sunday, saying it "leads to public criticism, and rightly so."
"We need to not break the status quo in Haredi cities, while also not force the closure of supermarkets and convenience stores in secular or more liberal cities," Akunis said. "There's no reason for any party to break the status quo."
