Tayibe residents receive 3-year sentence for attempted tunnel into West Bank

The Lod District Court sentenced Amir Jabara and Mohammad Nashaf to three years in prison and Ibrahim Sheikh Yousef to 28 months. The three, all Tayibe residents, were convicted of security offenses and belonging to the Islamic State.
Jabara and Yousef are said to have attempted to dig a tunnel between their city of residence and the West Bank in order to pass armaments through it. Another charge relates to Jabara and Nashaf, who set fire to a Tayibe stadium in an attempt to foil an upcoming performance by Israel's delegate to Beirut's Arab Idol reality show, Haitham Halaila.
