Internal Affairs Committee approves supermarket bill, convenience stores will be included in bill

The Knesset's Internal Affairs Committee approved the supermarket bill in anticipation of its second and third readings with no changes to the bill's wording.
The committee's chairman MK David Amsalem (Likud) announced earlier he intended to submit new reservations to the bill, one of which will exclude it from applying to convenience stores or Eilat.
However, the original wording was approved following pressures from the coalition's Haredi parties.
