General strike Sunday at Jerusalem Municipality

The workers committee for the Jerusalem Municipality has declared a general strike Sunday affecting all city services except schools.
The strike was called after the firing of 2,150 city workers due to the Finance Ministry withholding funds from the city. Mayor Nir Barakat called on the union head to avoid a strike, especially of education and sanitation.
