Department heads at Foreign Ministry turn to Kahlon ahead of budget cuts

Department heads at the Foreign Ministry wrote a letter to Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon protesting the decision to cut the ministry's budget. They wrote: "This act can have serious repercussions for Israel's standing in the world."
They added: "We are warning that any budget or manpower cuts, or any reduction in Israeli missions around the world will cause serious and irreparable damage to Israel's foreign service's ability to cope with the many challenges facing us and (will cause) significant damage to Israeli national security."
