Residents of the building on 17 Abarbanel Street in Rishon LeZion have been subjected to unrelenting attacks by the criminal underworld, which apparently targets one of the building's residents.
According to police intelligence, one of the building's residents has criminal ties and is suspected of being repeatedly confronted with attempts by criminal elements to threaten and extort him.
On Wednesday, at around 3 am, a police force was rushed to the building for the third time after gunfire was heard coming from the building's entrance.
As in previous incidents, there were no casualties.
It began in late November, when a powerful pipe bomb exploded then near the electrical enclosure in the building.
On December 27 the second incident occurred: this time a bomb exploded in the elevator of the building.
The explosion caused severe damage and put the elevator out of commission. Since then, the elevator has not yet operated, and the tenants of the seven-story building are forced to use the stairs.
