Welfare minister: Treasury reneged on agreement regarding disability benefits
Welfare Minister Haim Katz claimed that the Finance Ministry reneged on the agreement regarding raising disability benefits, based on which Katz consented to vote to approve the new budget bill.
Katz initially refused to vote with the coalition on approving the budget, but after agreeing with the Treasury that the governmental bill to raise benefits will include linking them to the average wage, as the disabled protesters were promised, relented and voted to pass the budget.
