Police: sufficient evidence found to indict Balad officials for fraud
Police have informed they have uncovered sufficient evidence to indict officials of the Arab Balad party for offenses relating to fraud, fraudulently obtaining benefits, forgery, money laundering, breach of trust and other offenses.
At the center of the investigation were reported submitted to the state comptroller by the party regarding campaign funds donated during the 2013 Knesset elections and reports regarding expenses during the 2015 elections.
Among the officials involved are three sitting MKs: Haneen Zoabi, Jamal Zahalka and Juma Azbarga, currently under the Joint List banner, and former MK Basel Ghattas.
