2 Israeli children, 1 Palestinian killed in head-on collision near Shavei Shomron

Two Israeli children and a young Palestinian man were killed, while eight others were injured in a head-on collision of two cars on route 557 in the West Bank, near the Shavei Shomron Junction late Tuesday night.

 

Ori Lipnik, 12, her 8-year-old brother Roi, and 21-year-old Fatkhi Abd al-Karim Abu Shanab were killed.

 

The children's parents, Shirley and Ohad from Shavei Shomron, were injured along with two of their other children. Shirley, 35, and her 12-year-old son were seriously injured. Ohad was light-to-moderately injured. Their five-months-old baby was only lightly hurt.

 

Another Palestinian man, 25, was extracted after having been trapped in his vehicle and airlifted to the Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, while three other Palestinians, who were moderately hurt, were taken to a hospital in Tulkarm.
