Stones thrown at Ashdod municipality building, police believe it's a prank

Stones were thrown at the Ashdod municipality building overnight Saturday, with the mayor blaming the act of vandalism on activists protesting the fact city inspectors began handing out fines to businesses operating on Shabbat.
"The Shabbat plan we're formulating requires patience," Mayor Yehiel Lasri wrote on his Facebook page. "I will not be dragged into the populism and incitement that unfortunately lead to acts of vandalism. Ashdod will come out of this crisis stronger."
Police launched an investigation, saying the vandalism is believed to be a prank done by children.
