Policeman indicted for beating Haredim

The Department for the Investigation of Police filed an indictment against a Jerusalem police officer, Superintendent Ido Katzir, for assaulting several ultra-Orthodox men during anti-draft protests in the capital.
According to the indictment, he kicked several protesters while they were lying on the road.
In another case, he allegedly shoved an ultra-Orthodox protester to a corner and beat him.
The indictment submitted to the city's magistrate's court charges him with two counts of assault.
