Abbas: We seek peace; Netanyahu avoids negotiations

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, speaking at the United Nations Tuesday, said that the PA seeks peace, uses the language of peace and calls for the decommissioning of nuclear weapons as well as conventional weapons.
“We refuse violence and we are building schools, hospitals, industrial and agricultural centers, we do not buy tanks and airplanes,” Abbas said.
Abbas also declared that the Palestinians are committed to negotiations with Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is evading efforts to negotiate: “Netanyahu avoided the Moscow Summit, and the government foiled the efforts of US (former) Secretary of State John Kerry. We never refused peace talks.”
